Team India's new jersey

Indian cricket team's new T20I jersey has been launched. Indian players will don the jersey before T20 World Cup 2022. Here is a look at India's jerseys since first T20 WC.

2007

India's first T20I jersey was unveiled in 2007. Donning the sky blue jersey, India won the inaugural T20 WC under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

2009

The dark blue jersey was unveiled in the 2009 edition. India were knocked out from second round.

2010

Not much was changed for the 2010 edition of T20 WC. Once again, India could not make it past the second round.

2012

In 2012, the T20I jersey was similar to the ODI World Cup 2011 one. For the third time, India were knocked out from the second round.

2014

There was a slight change in the jersey for the fifth edition of T20 WC. The tri-colour was used on the shoulders. India lost to Sri Lanka in the final.

2016

The saffron colour was added to the upper part of the jersey in the T20 WC India hosted. India were knocked out by West Indies in the semi-final.

2021


This time dark blue colour was prominent in the jersey. India were knocked out from the group stage under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

2022


The new jersey has a lighter tone on the chest whereas the dark blue is visible on shoulders and below the BCCI logo.
