After missing out on joining airforce, Raza pulls sword on CSK

Punjab Kings defeated Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League.

CSK gave their opponents a target of 201 runs to Punjab and Zimbabwean Sikandar Raza won the match on the last ball.

Sikandar earned his victory by scoring 13 runs in 7 balls with a four.

Here, we look at the history of Sikandar Raza who was actually born in Pakistan.


Sikandar was born on 24 April 1986 in Sialkot, located in Pakistan.

Sikandar wanted to fly fighter aircrafts for the Pakistan Airforce but failed the test.

He moved to Zimbabwe in 2002 and made his international debut in 2013 while playing cricket in the African nation.


Sikandar Raza, who plays internationally for Zimbabwe, was bought by Punjab at the base price of 50 lakhs.
