Amid Manchester United's Qatari bid, a look at all the major Arab-owned football clubs

Manchester United is the target of a bid from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. 

This will make the Red Devils one of the handful of football clubs owned by a wealthy Arab.

Here, we look at some of Europe's biggest Arab-owned football clubs. 

Manchester City 
In 2008, UAE's deputy PM Sheikh Mansour bought United's biggest rivals Manchester City, making them Premier League giants. 

Newcastle United
Mohammad Bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, made Newcastle United his own in 2021.

Aston Villa
Egyptian Billionaire Nassef Sawaris co-owns Aston Villa with Wes Edens.

Malaga FC
Another Qatari businessman Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani owns Spain's Malaga FC. 


PSG
Ironically, the owners of PSG are a company owned by the same person who has made a bid for Manchester United!
