Amidst England's batting collapse, Ben Stokes struggling to find feet

England had a winning start to the 2022 T20 World Cup campaign, having beaten Afghanistan in their opening game.

But among their stars, one player who underperformed is all-rounder Ben Stokes.

Stokes returned to T20I cricket comeback after more one and a half years.

In the previous T20I series vs Australia, Stokes scored just 33 runs in three matches, averaging 16.50.

And with the ball, he was only able to pick up one wicket.

In the match vs Afghanistan, Stokes was subpar yet again.

During the four overs that he bowled, he managed to take two wickets, while conceding 19 runs.

But despite his contribution with the ball, he failed to make an impact with the bat.

He scored just two runs off four balls, before being dismissed by Mohammad Nabi.
