Babar on verge of creating T20I record as skipper

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is among the best batters on the side.

On Sunday, he has the chance of creating history when Pakistan face India in their opening match of the 2022 T20 World Cup Super 12.

He is set to become the first player to score 2000 runs in T20I cricket as the Pakistan skipper!

He currently has 1941 runs to his name, in 54 innings and at an average of 40.43.

In order to achieve this feat, he will need to score at least 59 runs against India.

If he does complete this feat, he will join a list which only has Aaron Finch on it.

He currently has 3231 T20I runs to his name and is the fastest to reach 3000 runs along with Virat Kohli.

After sizzling form at the beginning of the year, Babar has been hot and cold on the pitch.
