India's star opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is marred by his batting form, once again failed to score big (3 off 8) in the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh.

Following his flop show in the first and the second ODIs respectively, Dhawan fell for mere 3 off 8 in the 3rd ODI on Saturday, which has taken a hit on his batting average.

Let's have a look at the list of Indian openers who recorded the lowest batting average in an ODI series (minimum 3 innings).

India's star opener Shikhar Dhawan has recorded an embarrassing batting average of 6 in the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh.

India's Murali Vijay also recorded a lowly batting average of 6 in an ODI series against South Africa in 2011.

India's batting legend Sachin Tendulkar recorded a measly average of 6 in an ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2009.

Former India's star opener Surinder Khanna recorded a batting average of 6.7 in an ODI series against Australia in 1984.

Dhawan also failed to perform in the ODI series against New Zealand where he could only score 110 runs in the three-match outing.
