Dream comes true: Barber's son makes India debut, ready to rock with tearaway speed

Star speedster Kuldeep Sen made his debut for India in the first ODI against Bangladesh on Sunday (December 4).

Kuldeep Sen plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL. He is a part of the Madhya Pradesh team in domestic cricket.

Kuldeep picked 25 wickets in 8 matches in his very first Ranji Trophy season. Beside notching up a speed more than 140kmph, he he also known for his swing bowling.

Like Umran Malik, he too can bowl at a tearaway speed of 150kmph which was also seen in the IPL 2022

Kuldeep snared 4 wickets for 20 runs against RCB in IPL 2022. He dismissed Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel.

Kuldeep comes from a humble family. His father works as a barber. Kuldeep has five siblings amongst whome he is the third eldest. Kuldeep hails from Hariharpur village in Rewa, MP.

Kuldeep used to get scolded by his father for playing cricket in his childhood. His father wanted him to focus on studies but Kuldeep had Indian jersey in his mind.

Kuldeep Sen wreaked havoc with the ball against Saurashtra in the Irani Cup where he grabbed eight wickets. He dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara in both the innings.

Kuldeep Sen took 18 wickets in six matches in the just concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was the third highest wicket taker in the tournament.
