Wales returned to the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1958.

With it, joined their talismanic captain Gareth Bales, who is still going strong.

He scored a penalty in the final minutes of their game against the USA to earn his team an important draw.

Bale is among the most decorated players in the Wales dressing room and broke a record in their second World Cup game.

He is Wales' top goalscorer of all time with 41 goals to his name.

And after his appearance against Iran on Round 2 of the FIFA WC, he is also now their highest appearance-maker as well!

Bale's 110 caps for Wales is one more than Chris Gunter.

Gunter too is in the squad but is unlikely to be used, being a backup defender.

Despite Argentina's shock defeat, Lionel Messi continues to break records.
