Harry Kane surpassed Gary Lineker as England's all-time record goalscorer at major tournaments with his goal against Senegal.

The Tottenham striker fired home the second of his team's goals during their 3-0 win in the Round of 16.

His goal doubled England's lead as the Three Lions set up a Qatar 2022 quarterfinal tie with France.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup golden boot winner scored his first goal for the 2022 World Cup.

His strike also took the striker's tally in the FIFA World Cup to seven goals in 10 matches.

The forward also scored 4 on the way to the Euro 2020 final in 2021.

This means that his total tally in major competitions for England is 11 goals — one more than Lineker.

The 29-year-old is now one goal short of equalling Wayne Rooney (53) as England's all-time record scorer.
