France and Argentina take on each other in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Meanwhile, France goalkeeper Hugo Lorris will set a new record when he takes the field.
In Sunday’s final, he will become the goalkeeper with the most appearances in the history of the tournament.
In Wednesday’s semifinal win over Morocco, Lloris equalled the record of 19 WC appearances held by Germany’s Manuel Neuer.
Lloris made his World Cup debut in South Africa in 2010 and has been France's starter since then.
Former France star goalkeeper Fabien Barthez made 18 World Cup appearances during their respective careers.
This is the same as forward Thierry Henry, who also has 18 World Cup appearances.
On Sunday, the 35-year-old will finally overtake Neuer’s record.
