Cheteshwar Pujara is on  verge of scripting a rare milestone as he will be playing his 100th Test in the second Test against Australia in  Delhi on Friday (February 17).

Cheteshwar Pujara is set to join the elite list of Indian players who have played 100 Tests. Let's have a look at the list.

Sachin Tendulkar has played the most Tests for India as he has 15921 runs in a total of 200 Tests.

Team India's current head coach and former skipper Rahul Dravid is second in the list. He played 163 Tests and scored 13265 runs for India.

VVS Laxman is third in the list as he played 134 Tests and scored 8781 runs for India.

Anil Kumble played 132 Tests for India in which he took 619 wickets which is the third highest in the longest format.

Former India captain Kapil Dev played 131 Test matches for India in which he amassed 5248 runs scalped 434 wickets.

The legendary Sunil Gavaskar played 125 Tests for India between 1971 and 1987 in this he scored 10122 runs.

Dilip Vengsarkar played 116 Tests for India between 1976 and 1992 in which he scored 6868 runs.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly played 113 Tests in which he scored 7212 runs.

Former India captain Virat Kohli has played 105 Tests so far in which he has scored 8131 runs.

Star pacer Ishant Sharma has played 105 Test matches for India so far in which he has picked 311 wickets.

Former India star spinner Harbhajan Singh played 103 Tests in which he took 417 wickets and scored 2224 runs.

Virender Sehwag played 103 Test matches for India in which he amassed 8503 runs.
