The stage has been set for the three-match T20I series between India and South Africa which starts from September 28 as Team India will look to kick off the campaign in style.
Talking about the South Africa team, since 2015, they have played three T20I series on Indian soil and surprisingly Men in Blue have not won in any of the instance.
In the year 2015, when the South African team came to India tour, the Men in Blue had to suffer a 0-2 defeat in the three-match T20I series.
After the year 2015, the South African team came to India in the year 2019. This time also the three-match T20I series was tied at 1-1, keeping India at bay.
In 2022 too South African team visited India for a five-match T20I series. The series again ended in a 2-2 draw.
South Africa are again back in India for the second time in 2022 to play a three-match T20I and ODI series against the Rohit Sharma & Co.
After their dismal show in the just-concluded Asia Cup, India beat Australia 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. Rohit Sharma & Co. will look to open their account against SA on a winning note.
Kohli has also roared back to his form with stellar show in Asia Cup 2022 which will pose a huge threat on Proteas.
This is the last T20I series for both India and South Africa before the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Both the teams would like to cruise to Australia riding on winning wheels.
