India will play a World Cup knockout game without MS Dhoni after 19 years. 




MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020. 

After making his debut and till retirement, Dhoni played in every knockout game for India. 


Dhoni played in nine ICC tournament knockout matches during his career. 


Under Dhoni's captaincy, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. 


India played in the 2014 T20 World Cup final and 2016 T20 World Cup semifinal under Dhoni's captaincy. 


Dhoni participated in four ODI World Cups during his career. 


In 2011, India won the World Cup at home under Dhoni's leadership. 


India won the 2013 Champions Trophy under Dhoni's captaincy.
