IPL 2023: A list of players bought for a whopping sum of money now likely to be released.

All 10 IPL Franchises will submit the list of their retained players on November 16.


Let's take a look at the list of players who were bought for a whopping sum of money during auction and are likely to be released this time. 

Kane Williamson: The New Zealand captain pocketed Rs 14 crore in IPL 2022 and scored just 144 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad are likely to part ways with Williamson. 

Mayank Agarwal: Punjab Kings already announced that Shikhar Dhawan will lead the franchise instead of Agarwal in IPL 2023. He bagged Rs 14 crore in 2022 and is now likely to be released.

Nicholas Pooran: Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Pooran for Rs 10.75 crore and he scored 306 runs in 14 matches. The franchise is likely to part ways with Pooran.

Jason Holder: Lucknow Super Giants bought Holder for Rs 8.75 crore and the franchise is likely to release the West Indian all-rounder from their squad.

Marcus Stoinis: Lucknow Super Giants bought Marcus Stoinis for Rs 9.20 crore and after the Aussie all-rounder failed to deliver, the franchise is likely to part ways with him.

Dwayne Bravo: Chennai Super Kings bought Bravo for Rs 4.40 crore and are likely to finally part ways with the West Indian.
