James Anderson creates history with no. 1 Test ranking age 40

England's James Anderson has been bestowed a new record after his performance vs New Zealand.

The 40-year-old fast bowler Anderson has become the number one bowler in the latest ICC Test rankings.

In doing so, Anderson is now the oldest bowler to reach the top Test ranking after Clarrie Grimmett in 1936 i.e. after 87 years!

Anderson also ended the 1466-day reign of Australian captain Pat Cummins, who has been subpar in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Anderson took 7 wickets in the first Test against New Zealand. He becomes no. 1 with 866 points.

Team India's R Ashwin is second with names have 864 points to his name.

Pat Cummins of Australia has moved from first to third with 858 points.

Ollie Robinson of England is in fourth place with 820 points.

In 5th place is Team India's main pacer Jasprit Bumrah with 795 points.
