KL Rahul: Master against minnows, flopshow against the rest

India's opener KL Rahul is struggling to score runs in the T20 World Cup 2022. He has miserably failed in both the matches India have played so far.

KL Rahul could score only 4 against Pakistan and 9 versus Netherlands which has raised doubts on his place in rest of the matches.



Rahul particularly has a poor track record against Pakistan in T20Is. He has scored mere 35 runs in 4 matches against at an average of 8.75 and strike rate of 94.59 against arch rivals.

If we look at KL Rahul's T20I career, he hasn't impressed with the bat against top six team unlike the low-ranked teams against him he has always fired.


Against the top six teams, KL Rahul has scored 978 runs at an average of 31.55 and a strike rate of 133.06. He has one century and 10 half-centuries against these teams.



Meanwhile, against minnow teams, Rahul has scored 1163 runs at an average of 48.46 and strike rate of 146.3. He has one century and 10 half-centuries against his name.




Barring West Indies, KL Rahul's strike rate is not close to 140 against any of the top teams in the world. His strike rate against the Windies is 159.
