Liverpool lost 5-2 against Real Madrid in their first-leg match in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

They were leading the game 2-0 but goals from Vinicius Jr., Karim Benzema (2 each) and Eder Militao sealed their fate.

This game saw many records created by both teams — Some pleasant, and others not so much.

Stefan Bajcetic is the youngest player to start a Champions League match for Liverpool.

Darwin Nunez's opening goal after 3 minutes and 10 seconds was Liverpool's quickest Champions League goal ever at Anfield.

Salah has scored 44 Champions League goals, the joint-highest tally for an African player and level with Didier Drogba.

He is also the first player to have both scored and assisted in as many as eight different games for an English club.

Vinícius Jr. is the youngest visiting player to score twice against Liverpool at Anfield since Ajax!

Meanwhile, Liverpool have conceded five goals in a home European match for the first time ever.
