New Zealand consistently perform at a high level in ICC tournaments. They have reached the semi-finals this time as well!
Since 2015, the Kiwis have reached the knock-outs of ICC tournaments 6 of seven times. Except for the 2017 Champions Trophy when they were eliminated in the first round.
In the T20 World Cup 2022, New Zealand is the first team to have booked a semi-final ticket. They won 3 of 5 matches they played.
New Zealand reached the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup, facing defeat at the hands of Australia.
In 2021, New Zealand became the first ICC Test champion after defeating India in the final.
The Kiwis also reached the 2019 ODI World Cup final. The side missed out on the trophy after losing to England on the basis of boundary count.
In the 2017 Champions Trophy, New Zealand finished at the bottom of their group. But in the 2016 T20 World Cup, they reached the semi-finals.
This team was also a runner-up in the 2015 ODI World Cup where they were once again defeated by Australia.
Since 2015, New Zealand have played four finals in ICC tournaments and won once. They were defeated twice by Australia and once by England.
