New Zealand snap 15 years of pain in Asia after beating Pakistan

New Zealand got the better of Pakistan in the third ODI on Friday (January 13).

With this win they sealed the three-match series 2-1.

Glenn Phillips was adjudged the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 63 off 42 which was loaded with four sixes and four boundaries.

Riding on this win, the Black Caps ended their 15-year-old drought in Asia.

Their last ODI series triumph came against Bangladesh which they won 2-1 in 2008.

In the last 15 years they lost seven series while one was drawn.

Out of which, New Zealand's three series defeat came against the Men in Blues.

Meanwhile, New Zealand will tour to India which will kick off from January 18 which will see three ODIs and as many T20Is.
