Ravichandran Ashwin rode on splendid all round show to lead India to victory in the Mirpur Test against Bangladesh.
Beside picking six wickets, Ashwin also contributed with the willow. He propelled India to 3-wicket win after smashing a crucial yet unbeaten 42 runs.
Ashwin was adjudged Player of the Match for his heroics and with this he bagged a big milestone against his name.
Among the players who have claimed the most Player of the match in Tests for India, Ashwin is joint no.4 now.
India's star off-spinner has been adjudged Player of the Match for the ninth time in his career of 88 Tests.
Virat Kohli has also claimed the Player of the Match nine times, however, he achieved this feat in 108 Tests.
Former India captain Anil Kumble also won 10 Player of the Match awards in his career of 132 Tests.
India's current head coach Rahul Dravid won player of the match 11 times in 163 Tests.
Sachin Tendulkar has a record of claiming most Player of the Match award i.e 14 times in 200 Tests.
