South Africa hit a new low after 99 all out in 3rd ODI

South Africa's lowest totals in the ODI format. Here are the five lowest scores for the Proteas in ODIs.

5 | 101 vs Pakistan

In 2000, South Africa got all out for 101 while chasing 168 in Sharjah. A total of 5 ducks were recorded in the innings.

4 | 99 vs India

After a troubled start, Kuldeep Yadav ran through South Africa's lower-middle order and wrapped up the tail.

3 | 83 vs England

South Africa's another batting collapse in ODIs came earlier this year. 4 ducks were recorded in South Africa's unsuccessful run chase of 202 in Manchester.

2 | 83 vs England

In 2008, South Africa were bundled out for 83 by England as Stuart Broad ran through their batting lineup with a fifer.

1 | 69 vs Australia

In 1993, Paul Reiffel took 4 wickets to bundle out South Africa for 69, their lowest ODI total. Kepler Wessels-led side recorded 9 single-digit scores in the run chase of 173 in Sydney.

Miller's horrific captaincy debut

In the absence of Keshav Maharaj and Temba Bavuma, Miller made his ODI captaincy debut. Miller got bowled by Washington Sundar as their batting lineup crumbled at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Kuldeep's record

Kuldeep Yadav's 4/18 are the best bowling figures for an Indian spinner against South Africa in ODIs on Indian soil. He broke Anil Kumble's record of 4/25 created at Wankhede Stadium.

This is the eighth-lowest ODI total by a touring team on Indian soil. Kenya got all out for 69 against New Zealand in Chennai in World Cup 2011.

Eighth-lowest on Indian soil

South Africa's previous lowest ODI total against India came in Nairobi in 1999. Sunil Joshi's record-breaking 5/6 led to a batting collapse.
