Star players who can make Team India world champions if given chance

The Indian team is in dearth of such players in ODIs and T20Is who can dazzle with both batting and bowling.

There was a time when India were loaded with superstar players like Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, who also used to contribute with bowling beside batting.

Let's look at the list of star India players who can contribute well with the ball along with batting and can make India the world champions.

Shahbaz Ahmed has emerged as a great option. He is doing wonders with both bat and ball for RCB in IPL and Bengal in domestic cricket.

Left arm all-rounder Abhishek Sharma who plays for Punjab is a left-arm spinner. He has taken 12 wickets in List A and 5/41 is his best performance.

Riyan Parag of Assam comes next as he can impress with his off-spin bowling along with batting. So far he has taken 26 wickets with an economy of 6.38.

Along with impressive hitting ability, Lalit Yadav has also picked 9 wickets with an economy of 3.53 for Delhi in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. He has 39 wickets in List A.

Rahul Tewatia, who rocked the bat in IPL, is also a good option. He has snared 11 wickets in Vijay Hazare.

Young turk Tilak Verma has scored 402 runs in Vijay Hazare 2022 at an average of 80. He has also taken 8 wickets with his impressive off-break bowling.

Nitish Rana can also bowl well beside his batting prowess. Rana has so far taken 23 wickets in List A cricket.

20-year-old young all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar has so far taken 16 wickets in 10 List-A matches. He is also known for his hard hitting ability.
