Virat Kohli hit 973 runs in IPL 2016 to win the Orange Cap.
In IPL 2020, the Orange Cap belonged to KL Rahul, while he was still with Punjab Kings with 670 runs.
In IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad sealed the Orange Cap with 635 runs.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill looks set to be the sixth player on the list with 851 runs to his name.
