England all-rounder Sam Curran led the troika of Englishmen who became millionaires overnight on December 23 (Friday).

In the 2023 IPL Auction, franchises forked out a gigantic sum of money to acquire the services of England cricketers.

Punjab Kings bought Sam Curran for a whopping sum of Rs 18.50 crore.

As a result, the 24-year-old English all-rounder became the most expensive player in IPL history.

England Test captain Ben Stokes secured a bumper deal as well with Chennai Super Kings breaking the bank for the all-rounder.

Stokes pocketed a sum of Rs 16.25 crore and became the joint third-most expensive player in IPL history.

It was Harry Brook who set the IPL 2023 Auction on fire initially when multiple franchises locked in a bidding war.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad fended off its competition and bought Brook for a sum of Rs 13.25 crore.
