Australia have handed a shock call-up to uncapped speedster Lance Morris for the day-night second Test against the West Indies.

Morris plays First Class cricket for Western Australia and is touted as one of the fastest bowlers in the country.

Morris has been drafted into the 15-man Australia squad with doubts lingering over skipper Pat Cummins' availability due to a quad injury.

Morris consistently clocks speed in excess of 150 kmph and can touch the 155 kmph mark as well.

The 24-year-old Morris enjoyed a fantastic Sheffield Shield season. He bagged 27 wickets at an average of 18.40.

Morris has bagged 59 wickets in 18 First Class matches, five wickets in as many List-A games and three wickets in 12 T20s.

For his menacing pace, Morris is also called the 'Wild Thing' in Australian cricket.

Five years ago, Morris made headlines by troubling England batters with his bouncers during a practice match.
