WPL 2023: Seven unknown Indian players to look out for

The Women's Premier League 2023 kicked off with a match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat giants on March 4.

Here is a list of some of the unknown Indian players to look out for in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Jharkhand's Ashwani Kumari, signed by Gujarat giant, scored 237 runs in the Senior T20 Trophy at a strike rate of 135.42. She is also a seam bowler.

Andhra's Sneha Deepthi has joined Delhi Capitals. In the Women's Inter-Zonal T20, she scored 114 runs at an average of 162.85.

Disha Kasat, signed by RCB, scored 300 runs in the Women's T20 Trophy at a strike rate of 114.50.

Shreyanka Patil, from Karnataka, was signed by is in RCB. An off-spinner, she took 20 wickets in the Senior Women's ODI Trophy.

Kiran Navgire of the UP Warriorz is the first Indian to score 150+ runs in T20 cricket. Playing for Nagaland, she scored 162 runs in 76 balls against Arunachal Pradesh.

Jitumoni Kalita, coming from Assam, joined the Mumbai Indians. The all-rounder scored 114 runs in 78 balls in the Senior Women's ODI Trophy.

Amanjot Kaur from Punjab is a pacer who can also hit the ball hard. Her batting helped India to a win in her debut match for the country.
