John Cena reacted to a heartfelt tribute ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW. This week' episode of the red brand will air live from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Josiah Williams dropped a song today paying tribute to John Cena, using the beat from his classic "Right Now" song. The Cenation Leader reacted to the video and said that he was very impressed. Cena also expressed gratitude for the tribute and appreciated Williams for his art.
"I’m not sure I have the words to articulate how grateful I am along with how impressed I am. Your work here as an artist and skill is far beyond anything I’ve ever accomplished. Your words mean more to me than you’ll ever know. Respect," he wrote.
Gunther defeated LA Knight this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown to win the Last Time is Now Tournament. As an outcome, The Ring General will be facing John Cena in his retirement match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13.
John Cena appreciates major WWE star
John Cena recently broke character to appreciate a major WWE star for learning to face failures.
Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience, the Cenation Leader shared that he used to take risks at live events to know what worked well, but the company doesn't do as many of them anymore. He mentioned that Dominik Mysterio was one of the only stars on the roster who took risks as a performer.
"I learned how to fail in those non-televised events. I could take big swings… I don't know how many people go out there, and just like Dom. Like that was an example of swinging big. 'I'm going to fake ring the bell, right? Will people even get that? Who cares? Let's try it.' He's the only one of those guys who will, or very few of those guys will stand on an idea like that. The other guys are like, ‘No I want to have a good choreographed performance because I want my stuff to look good because it's on television,'" Cena said.
The 48-year-old lost the Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio at WWE Survivor Series 2025.
