Before the start of the afternoon games on Sunday, 8th September, it was announced that Kendrick Lamar would be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. 17 times Grammy award winner is enjoying a great 2024 year and although, he performed as part of the Los Angeles crew at the Super Bowl 56, he will now have his show.
The rapper for Compton deserves this opportunity. There were no doubts over Lamar performing in the Super Bowl and with the kind of impact he had made with his music, it is a well-thought-out choice. But, there are some who do not agree with this.
Lil Wayne's manager does not agree with the decision
The manager of Canadian rapper, Lil Wayne, Fabian Marasciullo, was not happy with the decision made by the National Football League (NFL). He further shared his thoughts on Instagram and called Wayne as the GOAT.
They'll never again be at a position where they'll be at the mercy of other people's decisions," Marasciullo's Instagram post. The announcement was made by Kendrick's own Instagram page on Sunday and the decision of the league was praised by many people.

Mentioning Drake's name during Kendrick Lamar's halftime show announcement
Both artists have had their beef midway through 2024 as the rapper from Compton claimed that he has won after releasing many diss songs. All these songs earned praise by the fans and these songs were called "Not Like Us" and "Euphoria."
Their beef is nothing new to the fans but it certainly moved a notch up in the year 2024. Lamar was quick to attack Wayne after he released his diss songs and claimed victory in the Pop Out concert in Los Angeles in June. NBA legend Russell Westbrook and Demar DeRozan took sides with the rapper from Compton.
Meanwhile, to become more attractive to pop music and radio, Drake had to change his music style. Both rappers released a famous song "Poetic Justice" back in 2012 but it is impossible to imagine the two rappers working again together in the future.
