The quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts has provided his major insights from the 2022 Super Bowl losing team and the team which will face the Kansas City Chiefs this year in Super Bowl 59 on February 9 in New Orleans. Interestingly, the Eagles will take on the same opponents they did two years ago but will hope that the result this time goes in their favor.

What was Jalen Hurts' major insights between 2024 Eagles and Super Bowl-losing 2022 team

The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs had a good fight the last time they met in the Super Bowl. That season saw the end in a last-minute game-winning field goal by Harrison Butker. It was the Philadelphia Eagles who were leading at halftime (24-14) but the Chiefs made a great comeback in what was Patrick Mahomes and their second Super Bowl title.

Jalen Hurts duty in the upcoming Super Bowl 59 would be to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from winning. He was recently asked what was the biggest difference between the 2022 Super Bowl losing team and the current roster. To which he replied that it has to do more with the off-field stuff and the mentality rather than the roster.

I think everyone has just matured... I think last time we were here, we had a veteran group that had been here, done it before, and experienced it before. But now, we're younger. I'm not young. Just know what it takes, having appropriate focus going into this whole week.

In the 2022 Super Bowl, Hurts registered 27 passes out of 38 attempts for 304 passing yards and a touchdown. He also ran 15 times for 70 yards and three more scores.

Eagles in Chiefs' way of completing a three-peat

Winning against the Kansas City Chiefs would be like taking revenge for the Philadelphia Eagles for what happened two years ago but it would mean that they would stop the former from becoming the first side in NFL history to win three Super Bowls on the trot.

No team has ever been able to win three straight Super Bowls. Teams like the Green Bay Packers, the Miami Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys have managed to lift the trophy twice but never more than that. On top of it, the Chiefs are the first side to reach the Super Bowl after winning two trophies on the trot.

The last time the Eagles and Chiefs met was back in 2023 in a regular season game. The game was played at the Arrowhead Stadium which went in favor of the Eagles (21-17).
