The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to start from March 28, 2026, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the tournament opener at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. All 10 franchises, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Gujarat Titans (GT), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will look to clinch the title.
Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are the most successful teams in the history of the tournament, with five IPL titles each.
