How did Kike Hernandez and Shohei Ohtani give tribute to Dragon Ball Z?

It was Kike Hernandez who celebrated his hit and Ohtani was preparing for his at-bat at the time. It was at this moment that both the players paid tribute to the famous Japanese anime Dragon Ball Z. They both imitated the powerful move, 'Kamehameha' and it was posted on X by Major League Baseball (MLB) and was edited with the Kamehameha effects.

The New York Mets trail 3-1 to Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS and the latter have outscored them 30-9 in four games so far. The Mets will need to come out with a new game plan if they need to keep their World Series dream alive.

On the other hand, the Dodgers need just one win to secure their place in the World Series and they will face the winners of the ALCS winner between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians.

Shohei Ohtani leads Los Angeles Dodgers to victory

In Game 3, the Japanese International was given crucial advice by Freddie Freeman who saw a home run in the eighth inning which helped Ohtani register another NLCS victory and give his team a 2-1 lead in the ongoing series. In Game 4, Ohtani was already prepared for the things to come and hit a home run during his first at-bat.

While talking to AP news, Ohtani said, "Freddie talked to me to make sure that I joined the party earlier than later. I was able to do that this time in my first at-bat."

The coach Dave Roberts also spoke after the game about how his players have impressed him and said, "I love the way that our guys haven’t let off the gas. We don’t want to give these guys any momentum."
