Golden State Warriors Have to Go Through the Play-In

It is turning out to be a bittersweet season for the two-time NBA champions Golden State Warriors. They started on a blistering note, then fumbled to an extent where it looked like their season was done, but they regrouped and stood up as competitors again, only to conclude at 7th in the West. It is not over for them yet and the team's star forward Jimmy Butler is optimistic about the opportunity at hand rather than mulling over the slip-up at the end of the regular season.

"We're right where we wanna be," Butler said when asked for his thoughts on the play-in. "We still got an opportunity, and we control our own fate. We're going to be just fine."

Jimmy Butler On Warriors' Playing in the Play-ins

Butler was then asked about his increased role as an established veteran in the coming weeks as the Warriors go into battle with their season on the line.

"I do [feel the responsibility]," continued Butler. "We got a lot of really good basketball players in this locker room who are key in what we're trying to do. I like the confidence [Draymond] has in myself, I also have the same amount of confidence. I know that I and we have a job to do, and I know that we're capable of doing it. So play-in, here we come."

Jimmy Butler was instrumental in the dramatic return of the Golden State Warriors. The 35-year-old infused new energy and reinvigorated the side after arriving in February. Butler's versatility has been on display throughout the last two seasons, and it will be interesting to note whether he will be able to influence his team to get to the playoff road.
