The Los Angeles wildfires which have affected the lives of thousands of families have impacted NBA legend LeBron James as well. Highlighting his plight to the media, the Lakers forward revealed that he and his family were forced to evacuate their Brentwood home as the fires continued to ravage LA. Leaving their house, James and his family have stayed at a hotel since Thursday.

LeBron James' $23 million Home in Danger
The Lakers star brought forward his situation on Wednesday night following his team's 117-108 victory over the Miami Heat. James bought the home for $23 million.
"Personally, my family, we've been evacuated since Thursday night, so I've been in a hotel since pretty much when we got back from Dallas," James told reporters. "So, just figuring it out. But staying strong for one another."
While James has confirmed that his home has remained unscathed till now, but given the precarious situation it is best to stay away from danger. The fires have already claimed thousands of properties across Los Angeles county, including that of Lakers' coach JJ Redick.
The devastating blazes have left 25 fatalities till now and have destroyed more than 12000 structures, disseminating impact over 60 square miles. Paying further heed on the disaster, James has admitted that the fires have taken a mental toll on him.
"I've been completely off for obvious reasons," James admitted after Wednesday's game. "I have a couple of dear friends that have lost their homes in the Palisades."
The Lakers had lost three consecutive games before their victory over Miami, with the fires forcing a six-day layoff in their schedule.
"It's been a lot of emotions," James said. "Obviously, my heart goes out to all of the families, all across not only the Palisades, but all across LA county and all the surrounding areas because of the fire."
Despite the challenges, James has continued to showcase brilliance on the court. The 20-time All-Star scored 22 points against the Heat, which played a crucial role in the team's victory.
