England vs West Indies Match Stats

OUT! CAUGHT! Ravi Rampaul draws the first blood. He deceives Roy with a slower one and gets the better of him. An off-pace delivery, length and on the pads. Roy chips it towards mid-wicket. Chris Gayle is placed there. He leaps and takes a sharp catch. West Indies gets their first wicket and would hope to get a couple more before it gets too late. Can they make inroads in this game?

Full and on middle and leg. Bairstow hangs back and clips it to mid-wicket.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! The idea of getting Bairstow in early did work for England, as he smacked a couple boundaries in the last over. But he could not end things here. Akeal Hosein gets his first wicket of the game. Loopy ball, on middle and off. Bairstow steps forward and ends up chipping it back to the bowler off the inner half. Akeal Hosein grabs the ball safely. 

Darted on the pads. Ali flicks it square on the leg side. Pooran was quick to collect it.

Flatter and on off. Ali pushes it to cover.

Tossed up, on the pads. Ali tickles it to fine leg for a couple. Ali gets off the mark.

Full and on leg. Ali flicks it to mid-wicket and rotates the strike.

A good over by Hosein. 4 runs and a wicket off it. On the pads. Buttler tucks it to mid-wicket for a single.

Good-length ball, outside off and going further away from the right-hander. Buttler taps it through cover-point and picks up a couple of runs.

OUT! RUN OUT! Moeen Ali was just a bit too eager to get to the other end and pays the price. Slower ball, on a length and around off. Buttler hops back and dabs it down towards backward point. Ali is halfway down the track and doesn't quite hear Buttler's call of 'No.' Evin Lewis gathers the ball and throws it to the bowler. Obed McCoy does well to whip off the bails. The replay does show the Ali couldn't get back in time and has to depart early.

NO BALL! A loopy slower ball, outside off and dipping. Jos Buttler tries to get funky as he looks to scoop it over the keeper's head but gets undone by the lack of pace. A no ball has been called for overstepping. Free Hit time.

Another slower ball, on top of middle and Buttler swats it to the right of deep mid-wicket. The fielder gathers the ball quickly and keeps it just to a single.

Banged in slow and on off stump. Liam Livingstone goes deep in his crease and dabs it down towards third man. They get a single.

Short of a length, around the body and Buttler nudges it on the leg side. At the end of the Powerplay, England are 39/3. Just 17 runs needed now off 84 balls.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Take a bow Akeal Hosein! After much deliberation, the third umpire is satisfied with the catch and England lose their fourth. Flighted ball, around middle and leg and Liam Livingstone plays a checked-drive. Livingstone doesn't quite swing freely and the ball is chipped to the left of the bowler. Akeal Hosein dives to his left at full stretch and plucks it out of thin air. The target is a small one but this hasn't been the prettiest displays of batting from the Brits.

Fired in full, on middle. Morgan pushes it back past the bowler and picks up a single.

Flatter one, around off. Buttler rocks back and cuts it through cover for another single.

Nicely tossed up, on middle and caressed through mid on for a run.

Slightly short and wide, spinning away from the right-hander. Buttler reaches it and gets it through the infield on the off side for a run.

A dot to end and Akeal Hosein finishes with excellent figures of 4-0-24-2! Flatter one, around off and this one turns in a bit sharply. Eoin Morgan does well to keep it out.

Slower one, on a length and on middle. Jos Buttler hops back and dabs it down to third man for a single.

Short one, around the ribs. Morgan hops and keeps it down towards mid on. They do get a quick single as well.

Very full and very slow, on middle. Buttler digs it out towards long off and picks up another run. 

FOUR! Just over! McCoy bangs it in short and Morgan is ready to take it on. Morgan pulls it aerially towards deep square leg and its the longer part of the boundary. Hayden Walsh is well inside the boundary and has to trackback and almost reaches it. In the end, the ball flicks his fingers and goes into the fence.

Another slower one, Morgan manages to keep it out.

Well directed short ball, right around the batter's helmet. Eoin Morgan looks to hook it away but it's just a bit too high. The keeper appeals but the umpire isn't interested and no wide called either. Just 6 needed now.

A length ball, well outside off and Buttler gets it through the point region. Obed McCoy does well to get to it from the cover fence and puts in the dive to cut it off. They get a couple.

FOUR! That's it! England have won and Jos Buttler hits the winning runs! Pollard bowls this one halfway down the track and Buttler has all the time in the world to get on top of the bounce and pull it into the deep square leg fence. ENGLAND WIN BY 6 WICKETS!
