Rishabh Pant, India's celebrated wicketkeeper-batter, was recently spotted training with intensity at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. This comes as uplifting news for fans and the cricket community alike, especially considering the seriousness of Pant's recent accident.

On 30 December 2022, Pant was involved in a harrowing car accident while driving to his hometown of Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The accident occurred after Pant, driving alone, fell asleep at the wheel, leading to a catastrophic collision with a highway road divider.

Pant broke the windscreen to escape from his Mercedes, which had caught fire upon impact. Local residents and a bus driver named Sushil Kumar found him on a grassy patch and promptly alerted medical services.

Pant was initially admitted to a local hospital in Roorkee before being transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun. He had multiple injuries, including a torn ligament in his right knee and several cuts and abrasions, but was reported as stable and able to communicate.

Following the accident, Pant underwent plastic surgery and was responding positively to treatments, including water therapy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Uttarakhand government ensured that Pant received top-notch medical care.

Due to the extensive injuries, Pant was expected to miss the upcoming 4-Test series against Australia starting on February 9, 2023. This has undoubtedly been a significant loss for the Indian cricket team, given Pant's pivotal role as a wicketkeeper and a batter.

The BCCI maintained a line of communication with Pant's family and the medical professionals handling his treatment, ensuring he received all the support needed during this challenging period.

The recent update shows that Pant is making significant progress in his rehabilitation. His training sessions at the National Cricket Academy suggest that he may soon return to the cricketing arena, much to the delight of his fans and the cricket fraternity.

Rishabh Pant's journey from a life-threatening accident to resuming high-intensity training is nothing short of inspiring. It's a testament to his indomitable spirit and resilience. The cricketing world eagerly awaits his return, fully aware that the talented batter is not one to be held back easily.
