Ex-Pakistan players still calls Babar better than Kohli.

Pakistan's Champions Trophy 2025 home campaign was a complete bust. After failing to win, they were eliminated from the group rounds. Babar Azam, their star batter, did not have a particularly strong campaign. In the opening game against New Zealand, he scored 64, but it came from 90 balls during a 321-run chase. He was dismissed after only scoring 23 against India. However, against Pakistan, Virat Kohli hammered his 82nd international century. Former Pakistani batter Mohsin Khan has referred to Babar as a better player than Virat despite the disparate performances.

Mohsin Khan's shocking remark

Mohsin Khan stated in an interview with ARY News that Babar Azam is a better player than Virat Kohli. In front of the former Pakistan captain, he really referred to the renowned Indian batter as a big zero. He did, however, also harshly criticize Pakistan cricket's current lack of accountability and strategy.

"First of all, let me tell you one thing. Virat Kohli is nothing compared to Babar Azam. Virat Kohli zero hai Babar Azam ke saamne . We are not talking here about who is a better player and we are talking about Pakistan cricket which has been destroyed. There is no planning, no strategies, no merit, and there is no accountability at all. There is no accountability," Mohsin said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a thorough evaluation of the team's performance following the Champions Trophy 2025 fiasco, according to a report by Cricket Pakistan. With players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah getting the axe, this might include a significant roster change.

The PCB may relieve head coach Aaqib Javed of his responsibilities despite his declaration that he does not wish to step down following the Champions Trophy 2025 fiasco.
