Melbourne weather update: Dark clouds cast a shadow on Pakistan vs England T20 World Cup final

It will be a slugfest to watch when determined Pakistan lock horn with formidable England in the T20 World Cup 2022's grand finale in a bid to grab the coveted title at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on super Sunday (November 13). Both the teams are oozing confidence and will be up against each other in a 1992 ODI World Cup repeat show. The resilient Babar Azam will be aiming to secure his seat beside the great Imran Khan in Pakistan cricket’s Hall of Fame.

The entry of 2009 champions into the summit clash could even beat a Hollywood thriller script as they were down and out after the first week of the tournament with morale shattering defeats to arch-rivals India and Zimbabwe. Pakistan raised hopes of a dramatic comeback in the second week of a tournament with a win over South Africa and a prayer on their lips for some divine intervention.

Rain has played spoilsport in multiple matches in the World Cup so far forcing a handful of games to be called off. The venue for Pakistan vs England final is MCG. When it comes to the weather in Melbourne, grey skies covered with dark clouds have been a trend so far in the competition.

Aaj Tak's Managing Editor Vikrant Gupta, who is in Australia covering the multi-national tournament did a comprehensive weather analysis ahead of the final.

"The final match is to be played between Pakistan and England and everyone wants one team to win the trophy rather than both teams sharing the ultimate prize. Talking about the weather, it is being reported that for the last two days there is a chance of rain during the final. Although it was sunny in Melbourne early in the morning and according to Australian time, I am showing you the weather condition at 12 o'clock and you can see the dark clouds hovering in the sky," he opined.

"But according to me, rain won't play spoilsport in the final and it will be a complete 40-over game. The weather in Melbourne is fickle and changes a lot," he added.
