India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has given clarification on his rumoured exit from IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Rumours recently arose about the 22-year-old wanting to leave the Hyderabad-based franchise after being acquired by them for a fee of INR 6 crore at the 2025 IPL auction.
However, Reddy has now taken to social media to break his silence on the topic and has also assured that he will not be leaving SRH anytime soon. Notably, Reddy has been featuring for the franchise for the last three IPL seasons and it is also the only team he has featured for so far in his IPL career.
Reddy is likely to remain with SRH
"I tend to stay away from the noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I'll always stand by this team," Reddy posted on X.
The all-rounder's best season with the Hyderabad-based franchise is undoubtedly IPL 2023. He scored a total of 303 runs in 11 innings including two half-centuries and a great average of 33.66. He also contributed a little with the ball, picking up three scalps in seven innings. On the other hand, the 2025 campaign did.t prove to be great for him as he only managed to score 182 runs in 11 innings and just took two scalps.
Meanwhile, Reddy recently got ruled out of the ongoing Test series against England due to a knee injury that he sustained while training in the gym. The 22-year-old featured in the second and third Test of the series and was also expected to be a part of India's playing XI for the fourth Test at Old Trafford. However, the injury ended ruling him out entirely from, the fourth as well as the fifth Test. It now remains to be seen for how long will Reddy remain on the sidelines. Â
