Rohit Sharma asked cameraman to mute audio during his conversation with his friends.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma's chat with Abhishek Nayar created stir on social media.

Former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain and current Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was spotted jokingly requesting cameraman to mute the audio. Rohit's apparently urged the cameraman to not record his chat with his friends and former teammate Dhawal Kulkarni ahead of MI's clash against LSG.

This incident came days after a casual conversation between Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar went viral before a match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. While Rohit didn't mention names in that video, many suspected he was venting about the Mumbai Indians' current situation. The Kolkata Knight Riders initially posted the video but later took it down.

Rohit was heard telling KKR's assistant coach Abhishek Nayar:

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai... . Woh unke upar hai, main ye sab pe dhyaan nahi data... (Everything is changing one by one. It depends on them, I don't care about that). Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai. (Whatever it is, it's my home. It's a temple that I've built)".

Learning from experience, Rohit Sharma took steps to prevent another audio leak. Spotting the camera filming his chat with Kulkarni, Rohit politely turned to the cameraman and, with folded hands, requested, "Bhai, audio band karo, ek audio ne mera watt laga diya" (Brother, turn off the audio, one audio has already caused me trouble).

Rohit Sharma's batting struggles in IPL 2024

Before the clash against LSG, Rohit Sharma faced challenges with the bat in the IPL 2024. In 13 matches, he could only surpass 50 runs once, scoring a century against Chennai Super Kings in a losing effort. Overall, his runs total sat below 350. However, he dazzled with the bat in MI versus LSG match and scored 68 off 38 while chasing a colossal target of 215. However, MI ended up losing the match by 18 runs. Although the IPL 2024 hasn't been his strongest showing, Rohit will set his sights on leading Team India to victory in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which is slated to start from June 2.
