Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals is going to compete against Faf du Plessis in match 19 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, on April 6 (Saturday). RR batter Jos Buttler is set to have a historic outing in the upcoming RR vs RR match.
Historic moment for Jos Buttler
England's white-ball captain is set to play his 100th IPL match on Saturday. There have been many players with this milestone but what makes this more special is that Jos Buttler will become the first English player to play 100 IPL matches. The only other English batter close to this feat is former World Cup-winning caption Eoin Morgan, who has played 83 matches in the prestigious Indian Premier League. However, he is retired now.
Buttler also has the second most matches for Rajasthan Royals as an overseas player. He has played 75 matches for Rajasthan Royals and is only behind the legendary Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who has represented RR in 84 matches.
Rajasthan Royals eye top spot on points table
Rajasthan Royals are currently undefeated in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They have three straight wins and six points. However, they are on the second spot in the points table due to less net run rate than Kolkata Knight Riders.
They would have the opportunity to get on top of the points table with a win in this match. They are on a win streak and would like to add another victory to it. On the other hand, RCB lost their two games at their home ground of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RR would like to build more pressure on them and win this match too.
