The thrilling season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will kick off on March 22. The inaugural match of the 17th season will feature the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) facing off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the first two weeks of IPL 2024, spanning from March 22 to April 7. During this period, a total of 21 matches will be held across 10 cities, with each team scheduled to play between three to five matches. The IPL 2024 schedule for the second phase of the tournament will be announced soon.
Shreyas Iyer-led KKR are ready to take on strong opponents at different venues nationwide, with their sights set on winning the coveted trophy this year.

They were the runners-up in 2021 as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat KKR by 27 runs in Dubai.
Last year, Indian middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer was appointed as the captain of KKR for the IPL 2024 season, with Nitish Rana serving as the Vice Captain.
Iyer boasts a tally of 101 matches in his IPL career, accumulating 2776 runs at an average of 31.55. With 19 half-centuries to his name, his highest IPL score stands at 96 runs.
Throughout his IPL career, Iyer has struck 237 fours and 99 sixes. In the IPL Auction 2024, the Kolkata franchise secured 29-year-old's services for Rs 12.25 Cr.
