Sunrisers Hyderabad jumped to 2nd spot in IPL 2024's points table.

SRH's rise saw KKR slipping a place down to third in the standings.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024's points table has seen a major shake-up after Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) dominant win over Delhi Capitals on April 20.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are a force to be reckoned with this IPL season. After two disappointing years, they've stormed back with a vengeance, showcasing some of the most explosive batting in the tournament. Led by captain Pat Cummins, SRH have achieved a historic feat. They're the first team ever to cross the 250-run mark a staggering three times this season. Their dominance continued on April 20 with a convincing 67-run victory over the Delhi Capitals.

SRH's surge in IPL 2024's points table

The win over DC propelled SRH to the second position in the IPL 2024's points table, just two points behind the current leaders Rajasthan Royals (RR).  Their winning streak is impressive - they've secured victories in five out of their last seven matches, including four consecutive wins.

SRH's rise has shuffled the leaderboard. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have slipped to third place after their loss to RR, while the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), find themselves pushed down to fourth after a defeat against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

LSG hold the fifth position in the table with four victories out of seven matches. Conversely, DC has dropped to seventh place, while Mumbai Indians (MI) have risen to sixth. However, MI, led by Hardik Pandya, secured a win in their recent match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 18. They are scheduled to face the table-toppers RR in Jaipur on April 22. Gujarat Titans (GT), captained by Shubman Gill, currently occupy the eighth position with three wins from seven matches. Following them, PBKS holds the ninth spot with only two victories from seven matches. GT suffered defeat in their previous match against DC and are set to compete against PBKS on April 21.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) languish at the bottom of the table with just one win from seven matches. RCB has faced defeat in their last five matches and will face KKR next on April 21.
