Limelight on Ishan Kishan
After what has transpired with Ishan Kishan in the last three months, the young wicketkeeper-batter enters the 2024 IPL with a ton of attention on him. After withdrawing from the Indian squad, Kishan decided to skip the Ranji Trophy despite constant warnings from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Kishan elected to train alongside Hardik Pandya in Baroda and recently featured in the DY Patil T20 Cup competition. As a result, the BCCI brought down the axe and cut Kishan from the centrally contracted players list.
There will be pressure on Kishan to put on a stellar show in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich tournament, especially with the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held right after IPL.
