Rajasthan Royals (RR) clinched an emphatic 23-run win against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 2 (Saturday). This win helped the Sanju Samson-led side to reclaim the top spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table (Net Run Rate 2.100).
On the other hand, MI are currently struggling at ninth position after losing their two matches in the ongoing edition of IPL.

RR (four points) currently occupy the top spot of IPL points table followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in second, Gujarat Titans (GT) in third and Delhi Capitals (DC) in fourth.
In the second match of the day, Hardik Pandya-led Titans secured a 14-run victory against Capitals.
Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are presently at the 10th spot in the IPL standings with a negative NRR of 3.050.
Orange Cap
RR batter Jos Buttler scored a brilliant century (100 runs off 68 balls) against MI to help his side in earning a vital win. Previously, Buttler had scored 35 runs off 28 balls against SRH. The English batter presently leads the IPL Orange Cap with 135 runs in two matches.
Purple Cap
KKR pacer Umesh Yadav (4 wickets) still retains the top spot in the list of highest wicket-takers. RR spinner Yuzvendra Chahal claimed second spot in the list after bagging two wickets against MI. On the other hand, Titans pacer Mohammed Shami climbed to third spot in the list after picking up two wickets against DC.
Buttler started the batting on a promising note against MI and eventually registered his second century of IPL. Later, RR skipper Sanju Samson (30 runs off 21 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (35 runs off 14 balls) scored crucial runs to help their side in reaching a total of 193/8 in 20 overs.
In reply, the Mumbai-based franchise could only reach a total of 170/8 in 20 overs.
In the second match, Titans had registered a total of 171/6 in 20 overs against DC. In reply, the Rishabh Pant-led side managed to score 157/9 in 20 overs.
