IPL 2023: After taking GT close to victory, Rashid Khan joins Yuvraj Singh with two new unique records to his name

In the ongoing 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the 57th match was played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT). Suryakumar Yadav won the match for MI by smashing a century in this match with his amazing innings. On the other hand, Rashid Khan has also made two unique records in the IPL by playing an unbeaten 79 off 32 balls with 10 sixes and 3 fours. After this innings, he joined the special club along with Yuvraj Singh.

Rashid also took 4 wickets
Rashid Khan was brilliant with the bowl in the first innings as he took four wickets for 30 runs in his four-over spell. After this, while batting at number eight, he scored an unbeaten 79 runs. This makes him one of three players to take four wickets and also score fifty in an IPL match. He was also the third player after Yuvraj Singh and Mitchell Marsh to not win a game after achieving this feat.

Yuvraj did this twice
Before Rashid, Yuvraj Singh played for RCB in IPL 2014, scoring 83 runs and also taking four wickets. But his team did not win in that game. In IPL 2011, Yuvraj Singh took four wickets and scored an unbeaten 66 while playing for Pune Warriors India. But in this match also his team got defeated.

And earlier in the season, Mitchell Marsh, who plays for Delhi Capitals (DC), scored 63 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad while also taking four wickets, but his team was defeated. Rashid Khan's name has also been added to this list.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan has the highest score in terms of batting at number eight or below in IPL history. In this list, he has moved above Pat Cummins.
