T20 cricket is all about attacking intent. Batters have become innovative over the last couple of decades in an attempt to score at a brisk rate. Ahead of IPL 2025, here is a look at top 10 six-hitters in the league's history -

10. Former Chennai Super Kings batter Suresh Raina has hit 203 sixes from 200 innings. Raina scored runs at a strike rate of 136.73.

9. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has hit 206 sixes from 163 innings. He holds the record for most sixes in an innings. He hit 10 sixes in an innings against RCB in IPL 2018.

8. Kolkata Knight Riders' Andre Russell has smashed 209 sixes from 105 innings. Russell had once hit 11 sixes in an innings against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018.

7. Former Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard has 223 sixes to his name from 171 innings. In IPL 2019, Pollard had hit 10 sixes in his 31-ball 83 against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).

6. Former Australian opener David Warner has hit 236 sixes from 184 games. The most sixes he hit in an innings was eight against KKR for SRH in IPL 2017. Warner went unsold in IPL 2025 mega auction.

5. Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter AB de Villiers has hit 251 sixes from 170 innings. The most sixes he has hit an innings is 12 which came against now-defunct Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016.

4. Former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has hit 252 sixes from 229 innings. In IPL 2018, Dhoni had hit seven sixes in his 34-ball 70 against RCB in a run chase.

3. Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli has hit 272 sixes from 244 innings. Kohli had hit eight sixes in an innings twice in IPL 2016, the year where he created the record for most runs in a season.

2. Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has hit 280 sixes from 252 innings. He has a chance to become the first Indian to breach the 300 sixes mark.

1. IPL legend Chris Gayle is on top with 357 sixes from just 141 innings. In his record-breaking 175 not out for RCB against now-defunct Pune Warriors India, he whacked 17 sixes which is most in an innings.
