Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) announced Kevin Pietersen as their mentor for the upcoming season of the tournament which is scheduled to start from March 22. Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will feature in the tournament's opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). DC will start their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24.
The Delhi-based franchise has yet to announce their captain for the upcoming edition of the tournament as they part ways with Rishabh Pant before the mega auction. The franchise roped in KL Rahul who is one of their top contenders to be the captain in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The team are among those who will eye to win their maiden IPL title.
