As they released Shreyas Iyer before the IPL 2025 mega auction, they will be playing under a whole new leadership in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. They will play their first match of IPL 2025 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22.

How have KKR fared in IPL so far?

They are the defending champions and will be eyeing to put on a similar performance in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. They are one of the most successful teams in IPL history as they have won the title for a record three times making them the third most successful team after Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, who have five titles each. KKR have won titles in 2024, 2014 and 2012. The first two times it was under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir and then decade later under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy.
