The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025's full schedule has been announced after a long wait. The 18th edition of the IPL will be played between March 22 and May 25.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their IPL 2025 campaign opener on March 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad

IPL 2025 will consist of 74 matches played across a 65-day period. The league stage of the tournament will conclude on May 18, with the playoffs taking place between May 20 and 25. The final match of the 2025 IPL season is scheduled for May 25 at Eden Gardens, which will also host Qualifier 2 on May 23.  The Eliminator and Qualifier 1 matches will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21, respectively.

How have SRH fared in IPL so far?

SRH franchise, with only one IPL title to their name, are aiming for more championships.  They were the runners-up in the previous season.  Among their key players, Heinrich Klaasen scored 479 runs in 15 innings at an average of 39.91, including four half-centuries and a strike rate of 171.07.  Pat Cummins, the second-most expensive player in IPL auction history, took 18 wickets in 16 matches at an average of 31.44 during the IPL 2024 season.  Abhishek Sharma contributed 484 runs in 16 innings at an average of 32.26, including three half-centuries, with an impressive strike rate of 204.21.  Abhishek's opening partner, Travis Head, was the franchise's highest run-scorer, accumulating 567 runs in 15 innings at an average of 40.50, including one century and four fifties, with a slightly lower strike rate than Abhishek at 191.55.
