The third edition of the Legends League Cricket Masters (LLC Masters) kicked off on March 10 (Friday) and in a fitting opener the two maestros of the game Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir were once again up against each other. However, Afridi-led Asia Lions got the better of Gambhir-led Asia Maharajas by nine runs in Qatar.
Watching Gambhir and Afridi sharing the field again evoked bitter memories which saw their clashes on the field during their active days as cricketers. But the duo didn't clash with each other this time around rather a heartwarming moment was witnessed on the field when Afridi rushed to check the well being of Gambhir during the play.
During the 12th over of Maharajas' innings, in an attempt to steer Abdul Razzaq's ball towards the fine-leg boundary, Gambhir got hit on his helmet. However, Gambhir came out unscathed as there was no serious damage done. Afridi immediately reached to Gambhir to inquire if the Indian batter is okay and thus the match proceeded.
Afridi's heartwarming gesture won hearts of the fans while the video took no time to go viral on social media.
